Upwork proposals compete in a dense inbox. Buyers often skim the first lines, search for numbers, and look for anything that feels pasted or irrelevant. This template is designed to be edited in five to ten minutes: tight structure, obvious personalization slots, and a close that invites a small yes, not a vague “looking forward to hearing from you.”

It is not meant to be sent with brackets still in place. The difference between “AI-ish” and “human” is almost always how hard you personalize the bracketed sections.
